After Vaccination Health Checker – V-safe

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has launched “V-safe” health screening tool to assist COVID-19 vaccine recipients in monitoring and reporting side effects.

Get vaccinated  ⇒  Get your smartphone ⇒ Get started with V-safe

V-safe is a smartphone tool that uses text messages and online surveys to provide personalized health visits after you receive COVID-19 immunization.

With V-safe, you can quickly tell CDCs if you have any side effects after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Based on your answers, someone from the CDC can call you to check and obtain further information.

V-safe cannot arrange appointments for vaccines, including second doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

V-safe will remind you to obtain your second shot of COVID-19 vaccine if you need it.

Participating in the CDC V-safe vaccine makes a difference – it helps ensure the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

When you receive a COVID-19 vaccine, your health care provider will provide you a v-safe information sheet.

This information sheet provides instructions on how to register and use V-safe.

How to register and use V-safe

You will need your smartphone and information on the COVID-19 vaccine you have been given.

This information can be found on the vaccination card you received during your vaccination, and if you cannot find your card, please contact your health care provider.

V-safe Register

The CDC website provides step-by-step guidance on how to register and use v-safe.

The CDC makes recommendations about who should be given the vaccine first, and then each state makes its own plan.
